Gentlemen,

Wishing you all a Happy Father’s Day today!

I also want to encourage you that no matter where you are at on your journey, NEVER GIVE UP.

Here’s a little story from me on why this is fresh on my mind:

It’s been a year of complete upheaval for my marketing agency. You’ve probably noticed because I haven’t sent anything out in a few weeks. I went from business as normal to a forced overhaul of our entire company due to a perfect storm of clients leaving, letting bad-fit clients go, and AI disruption absolutely crushing us financially. It’s honestly been the most difficult stretch of business I’ve ever encountered.

Clients I had worked with for years, often sacrificing my weekend family time to serve them, suddenly turned on me. A client my team had served for over a decade didn’t even send us a Thank You as they parted ways. Another client we helped raise 4x our contract abruptly pulled the rug from under us on New Years Eve. One client emailed to “terminate our relationship” after knowing and working with me for 18 years! They hadn’t even paid me for any of the work we gifted them as a thank you for some client referrals. It was so much and so consistent that I just had to laugh out loud on most days because it turned into sheer comedy.

Yep, losing more than $700K of business had turned into comedy.

I stopped paying myself leading into the final stretch of months when I knew our business was in trouble. I went into debt to cover all our staff salaries because I thought my team would step up and help our company retool and we’d roar back even stronger.

But I was completely wrong.

Not one single person went out of their way to help, and most left me dealing with more angry customers who had never been responded to or projects not fully completed.

I wrestled hard with questions of What was all of this for? and Am I even called to be an Entrepreneur? and Why would anyone ever care what I have to say if what I built failed so fast after so long?

It was demoralizing and defeating.

But every time I thought about doing anything else I also felt deep in my soul that THIS is what I was called to do. None of it made sense, but I had a profound sense of Peace in the midst of chaos. And felt a rising Hope in the middle of everything falling apart.

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. — Galatians 6:9

Never Give Up. Seems easy, but let me tell you it is incredibly hard.

Was I really going to walk away after sharing with the Men of Soulfire for months how leaving your 9-to-5 and creating your own business was worth it? Was I going to allow a little bit of hardship get in the way of a deep-rooted calling?

Or was I going to show up every day and continue to seek God, work hard, and trust that in due season I would reap… and share that with you all?

I Chose to Never Give Up

I’ve retooled Soulheart, our marketing agency as an AI-Powered Websites & Ads business, no longer serving mostly Nonprofits but instead powering blue collar brands that understand it takes $$ to get leads and customers.

I started pouring my time into something super exciting I’m building for this audience which is a 30-day Business Incubator where we get your brand activated in a 2-hour coffee meeting and business generating revenue in 30 days (5 open slots currently, let me know if you are one of them). I was able to pilot this with two local brands and it’s been a great success so far!

My ownership entity, Soulheart Ventures, launched Fieldmark, a Spray Drone Solutions company for crops, solar, mining, construction and golf courses. I finally accomplished something I spent 7 years delaying and got my Part 107 Remote Pilot in Command license to be able to help fly and run demos.

At SV, I took stake as minority partner in Praxis Coaching, a faith-based life and business coaching platform, and am serving a Fractional CTO / CMO role to help this get launched and start generating revenue.

I’m still waiting for due season financially. But somehow the Lord has seen fit to allow us to continue to navigate the challenges, find ways to make things work, and keep treading water until that season comes.

Let me know what challenges you’ve faced whether personal, business, financial, or spiritual. I’d love to be praying for you and do whatever I can to give you that encouragement that there is a DUE SEASON coming your way soon, as long as you never give up or grow weary of doing good.

A Prayer for the Week

👉 Pray this: “Lord thank You for the way you’ve wired me. For the gifts and skills you’ve given me. For the family you’ve blessed me with and chosen to allow me to steward. I give you my all and recognize it all as Yours. Help me to be a beacon of hope to those around me and a light to anyone struggling. Give me the boldness, strength, wisdom and energy I need to stay the course of the thing you’ve called me to do and the resiliency to never give up!”

"Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again." — John 4:14a

Rooting for you always,
