Faith, Life, Family, Business—On the Move
Soulfire exists to be a guide as you build every area of your life with intention:
Faith on the Move → Walk with Jesus, rooted in Truth.
Life on the Move → Grow stronger, healthier, more disciplined.
Family on the Move → Protect and provide as husbands and fathers.
Business on the Move → Build with values that last.
You have to be intentional if you want to Level Up.
Faith. Honoring the life of Charlie Kirk, plus a confession from myself about a time in my life I was not being the man I was called to be.
Call to Action. Every week I want you to walk away with at least ONE thing that you can apply to your life that week to go deeper.
Business & Leadership. This is about action, but it’s also about learning. Imparting principles of life, leadership and the warrior mentality you need in order to spark the fire to build a business that matters!

If we haven’t met yet, I’m Josh Brown. More than 12 years ago I left a stable job at a $100M Nonprofit to start a company from $0. Today I’ve built Soulheart into a thriving 7-figure marketing agency serving clients across the country and impacting the globe. While that sounds amazing to some, I couldn’t be doing any of this if it wasn’t for Laura, the love of my life, always standing by my side and three amazing kiddos that keep life interesting! Life on the move is our ethos and I wouldn’t change it for anything.
Faith
A Patriot, a Warrior, a Man of God
Last year I was in a church service that prayed over Charlie Kirk a few days before the Presidential Election. At one point Pastor Mark told Charlie that he could slip out since his speaking schedule was jam packed. But Charlie chose to stay so he could worship and listen to the message being preached.
That moment grew my respect tremendously for him.
Charlie wasn’t just trying to win people to his cause for his own name’s sake. He was a man grounded in his faith, committed to Jesus, and a fierce defender of the Gospel.

Pastor Mark Driscoll & his wife Grace pray over Charlie Kirk, Kari Lake, Sean Feucht, and Jack Brewer ahead of the 2024 election.
Evil is running rampant and trying to defeat us. People are walking in fear and anxiety is at an all time high. But men… it’s our turn to live with that same courage that Charlie had that’s being felt around the world.
You must not hold yourself back.
“I want to be remembered for courage for my faith. That would be the most important thing. The most important thing is my faith.”
The Call for Men
This past week has been a wake-up call for all of us. Life is fragile and masculinity is needed more than ever to protect the world from evil so men can lead with faith, family, and freedom at the core.
The reality of our culture is sobering:
25% of all kids in America currently have no father influence in their lives.
37% of men report feeling burned out at work
85% of youths in prison come from fatherless homes.
50% of men believe the things they do are “not very” or “not at all” worthwhile.
90% of homeless had no dad in the home.
31% of men say they don’t have a confidant to discuss difficult issues
As a baseball coach I’ve watched boys walk into games blasting violent, drug-riddled and demonic lyrics. I’ve seen group texts from a friend who coaches softball where girls bullied his daughter and told her to kill herself. Recently we’ve watched as a woman on a subway was brutally murdered while two men sitting next to her did nothing, and of course a cowardly 22-year-old kill a defenseless man simply for having different ideals.
THIS IS NOT OKAY.
We don’t need more passive men.
We need men on the move—fathers, brothers, and leaders who will step up, lead their families, promote freedom, cling to faith-driven values, and show a generation how to build great things!
My Wake-Up Call
On July 3, 2022, God spoke my name, and I heard it deep in my heart.
It was my turning point.
The moment that would change me… forever.
On the outside I looked like I had it all. I was blessed with a beautiful wife, three amazing kids, a life of adventure (we had traveled through 45 states), a thriving business, and a full team across the country hungry to make an impact through our services.
But inside I was crumbling and I wasn’t sure why.
Now I do.
I had developed a pattern of destructive choices, drowning the pain of my internalized failures in distractions that all caused me to drift ever so slowly from my purpose until I honestly had no clue who I was becoming.
I was on my way to becoming one of those statistics.
But… God.
He called my name, woke me up, and helped me realize the path I was headed down was one filled with chaos, not peace. I found myself surrounded with the most loving, kind, and forgiving wife and kids as I confessed my sins before them and decided to change. I found deep connection all over again with my faith. I found men in my circle who would never leave my side.
That moment was not easy because as a man I’m supposed to have the hard exterior, right?
But being vulnerable and real was everything my family needed.
We’ve been through the FIRE and we chose to push in, battle hard, and come out with a faith that had truly been tested. Together.
I have tried you in the furnace of affliction.
I have felt this verse 100 times over. I’m thankful that we have a God who cares about us. About who we are. And Who calls us to a holy calling.
What is that “holy calling” you ask?
To love your wife (or find an honorable one if you aren’t married yet).
To manage your household well.
To work and stay employable.
To not exasperate your kids.
To provide for your family.
To make disciples as you go about your day to day.
To stay faithful and pure.
To tell people about Jesus.
To be set apart.
To live out all the fruits of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control).
To lead with courage and sacrificial love.
To steward all things you’ve been entrusted with.
I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
I’m building Soulfire to call men like you (and myself) into the life Jesus promised.
We are to be MEN, not boys.
Builders. Creators. Thinkers. Doers.
That’s who we are.
One day we’ll answer to a Holy God about our time here on earth and my prayer for each of you is that you hear the same words that I know 100% that Charlie Kirk heard on September 10, 2025:
Well done, good and faithful servant.

One Big Takeaway This Week
Honor Charlie’s life by creating a legacy for yours.
👉 Don’t squander your season. Whatever emotions this past week stirred in you—grief, anger, passion—lay them at Jesus’ feet. Then ask Him daily:
“Lord, what would You have me do? Who would You have me serve? Where would You have me give? When would You have me go?”
And then move.
Business & Leadership
Alex Hormozi is one of my favorite entrepreneurs and has some of the most practical advice of any leader I’ve come across. It’s easy to watch YouTube or read through everyone talking on X and think passive income is the first step to achieving your goals and dreams.
The first step as he says, though, is simply hard work.
Business is hard. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, and definitely don’t feel like you aren’t good at it just because it’s hard. You’ll experience failure after failure after failure before you start turning the page and seeing fruit.
I recently joined Vision to Victory, a mastermind group by Dusty Holcomb, and he gave us a prompt to consider: Imagine it’s 10 years from today. If everything aligned in your favor, what would your life and leadership look and feel like?
Several people described a comfortable life of enjoying time on a beach and not shackled to their work. I’ve lived that out and it’s honestly a bit boring.
For me, I want to be building.
I want my business to be thriving and filled with family and friends that are creating a sense of purpose and life of adventure for themselves.
What is it that lights you up when you think about the future? Are you being intentional and planning your steps to get there and achieve everything you want along the way?
If not then maybe today is your day to reflect, plan and put pen to paper and do just that.
I’ll share more about my 10 year vision including the roadmap to get there in the future, but if you take 30 minutes, it’s a good one to reflect on while you consider the moment you are in.
What’s Next?
This is just the beginning.
Over the coming weeks, I’ll share frameworks, blueprints, and stories to help you rise up as a man on the move.
I always joke that I’ve made all the mistakes so you don’t have to, but it’s quite true. I know what works and doesn’t work in business, life, faith and family. I want this world to have the freedom I’ve found so deep within and experience the full joy that life has to offer.
I hope you’ll stick along for the ride because together we’re going to ignite something greater than ourselves.
And my prayer is we see a move of God at hand as men like yourself step into the calling on your life to do exactly what you have been called to do.
See you next week,
Joshua Brown
